BYU Health Insurance
BYU students enrolled at least 3/4 time (9.0 credit hours during fall and or winter semesters, 4.5 credit hours for spring/summer terms) are required to have health insurance. Each student is automatically enrolled in BYU’s student health plan. This health plan is automatically charged to your account on BYU My Financial Center.
Private Insurance Plan
If you are already covered by a private health insurance plan, you may waive the BYU plan:
Prior to the last day to add/drop classes, you will waive it online through myBYU. Access 'My Financial Center' and at the top of the page select 'My Accounts'. Next select 'Health Coverage' and then select 'Report Coverage'. Enter your private insurance information. Press the 'Save Private Insurance Information'.
Tuition
How much will this all cost?
The tuition cost per semester for full-time enrollment is:
Undergraduate LDS $2,985 / semester
Undergraduate Non-LDS $5,970 / semester
Lots of things can influence how much a semester at BYU will cost, such as where you live, travel expenses, and more. However, it's nice to have a comprehensive summary of what you can expect to spend during a semester. A summary of the total cost of attendance (including room and board, books and supplies, etc. for two semesters) can be found HERE.
Tuition is due 7 days before the semester begins. This means that tuition is due this coming Monday, August 24th. If not paid, a hold will be placed on your account. If it is not paid by the add/drop deadline, your classes will be dropped.
